Do you have licensed veterinarians? YES we do, if not we would be in jail.
How can you do this so much cheaper than my regular veterinarian can? First, we are a humane society and choose not to exist for the profit. Second, we have limitations that your regular “high priced” veterinarian does not have. For example, we have a limited staff, which means that we do not have a host of assistants to pamper you. We are unable to offer some of the high tech tools that your regular vet can. We are able to help you with some emergencies and can assist with limited overnight care.
Do you use high quality drugs and shots? Absolutely we purchase our supplies through the only sources available, the same places that your regular veterinarian purchases.
Why are your spay/neuter charges a lot less than regular veterinarians are? Our charges allow us to cover our costs, veterinarian fees, drugs, veterinary technicians and auxiliary staff. The only time we make a profit is from a donation rendered.
Is my animal at more of a surgery risk with you than with another veterinarian? Absolutely not. The procedure is just the same, the difference is that our veterinarians only do spay/neuter., therefore, possibly are faster performing the procedure. Our surgeries are performed in a state of the art mobile 24-ft unit. In such close proximity, no animal is ever out of site of the doctor or a trained technician during recovery.
How many animals do you fix in a day? It can vary, from a low of 27 to a high of 45. On average we can perform surgery on 9 to 12 dogs depending on size and gender. There is always a higher ratio of cats than dogs.
I understand that I have to have my pet there between 8.30 am. And 9.00 am. How long will I wait to get booked in? You may arrive and see what appears to be a long line, but we get you in very quickly. Here is why: When you pre-register, this information is all transferred to your surgery consent form. You will be asked to confirm the information that we have on the form, (just in case we have missed anything), a cage number will be allocated to your pet and you will sign the surgery disclaimer. We will give you a copy of the form, which contains your medical record, surgery release, and after-care. You will be advised of the pick-up time, and you are on your way, all within about one minute. If you arrive with multiple cats in one carrier we will ask you to transfer them to separate cages which we will provide, before we book you in.
I work and do not think that I can adhere to your drop off and pick up times. Then we are not the service for you. This is one of the reasons that we can offer such low costs. We are multi-operative, ALL animals are booked in in a short period of time. This allows the same people to assist the doctor and take care of your pets. PICK UP TIMES: We advise you of the exact time when you drop them off. PICK UP TIMES MUST BE STRICTLY ADHERED TO SO OUR STAFF MAY APPROPRIATELY CARE FOR RECOVERING ANIMALS! We have a 30 minute window to release the dogs. Please be prompt.
Are there any Restrictions? No. Anyone can use our clinic services. There are no restrictions on income or residence. Our clinics are run for the benefit of the animals, not for the profit. Our fees cover our costs, we are 100% for the animals.
Can I get shots and other medical care for my pets? We can help you with shots and other medical for your pets. We run vaccination and wellness clinics in the afternoon. We can save you money. All vaccinations are $15.00, (they are just $10.00 when done at time of surgery), deworming is $7.50, and exams are $15.00. |
